voting questin

I am amazed by the amount of time you all have put into this server. I try to vote every day, I just wanted to ask if I am allowed to vote for other players if they are ok with it?

We appreciate the help for those users who have trouble finding the links, but the voting sites check your IP address as well as your IGN. If your IP has already voted within the 24 hour period of time, then it will not allow the vote to be counted.

Not that i want to try finding loopholes, but a public library or internetcafé would solve that.

Did check if i could vote at work that has another ip, on my account, which i thought would fail, and it did.
So ip and accountsensitive.

Ip is a relic of the past. I believe most people have ever changing ips or other means to not stay with a static Ip.
I don't think it's as much that people can't find the links as it is they don't want to, they forget, don't have enough time etc. I have been to 20+ medieval servers. most of them are almost exclusively pvp/grief servers even some of the really big ones with 100+ players online.
This is one of the better medieval servers and I believe it deserves more exposure.
If you want more votes I could gladly help you guys out with that without resorting to bots. I know that most people who settled on the server would vote every day if they didn't forget, it being such a hassle etc.

So am I allowed to vote for others? (ofc there is no reason to vote for players on the server sicne I could most likely make up names and get 99% real minecraft nicknames, but I believe some players on the server would love to have someone do the voting for them to get those extra diamonds/xp/coins per day)

Hey Guys Spark here! Hey Filmjolk I think what your doing is great with thinking others and thinking about voting for them. But i thing it's not right to do that because you are using their person not yours. If you ask and they say sure i think that is fine, but i would appreciate not voting for people untill they say you have permission.

If you want to offer to vote for players and they say it's ok, then I don't see a problem. But only under those circumstances. I want the votes too, but we want our players to choose who they vote for.

The IP that the voting sites look for is your wifi IP address. This will not change, whereas your computer's IP will change frequently

If yo uare unable to hide your router IP, simply proxy/vpn instead.

Oh, I see that's how a 100 slot server can have 500 votes in 24 hours. And will always be at the top of the server list. Those servers need to kicked off the lists, imo.

Well, the same thing stands. Vote for yourself and if a player asks you to vote for them (their IGN), then that is fine. Otherwise, leave a player's vote as a decision for themselves.
